Les Vignerons du Val d’Orbieu

Reserve St. Martin

Languedoc, France

Les Vignerons du Val d’Orbieu is an association of winegrowers in the Languedoc-Roussillon established in 1967 by a small group of dynamic winemakers. Their exquisite vineyards stretch from the Pyrenees Mountains to the Rhone River along the Mediterranean coast.

Reserve St. Martin is the flagship varietal brand of the Val d’Orbieu and was among the very first French brands to take the daring move of labeling its French wines varietally by grape, such as "Chardonnay", rather than by appellation, such as "Languedoc-Roussillon". This revolutionary practice helped propel the brand from being relatively unknown in 1985 to selling over 200,000 cases in 1995.
